Lent & Holy Week
2025

This year’s Lenten theme is based on the 12th Century Hymn by Bernard of Clairvaux, “O, Sacred Head Now Wounded”. We will explore the injury we do to our Lord through the sins of betrayal, apathy, denial, mockery, and abandonment. Yet the ultimate message is one of healing and joy, as we are reminded of the Good News of the Gospel: “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His (Jesus’) stripes, we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

We are thrilled to invite you to the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (CCCC) 2025 Annual Gathering

The theme, Breakthrough Faith is based on Psalm 85:6-7: “Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your unfailing love, LORD, and grant us your salvation.

The main plenary speaker will be Rev. Dr. James Choung, who serves as Vice-President of Strategy & Innovation for Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and is also a noted author and speaker.

The Annual Gathering Planning Committee has worked with James on the development of the theme. He will lead three plenary sessions and one workshop at our meeting in August.

  • Monday evening plenary session – “The need for breakthrough” based on Psalm 85. In history, no revival happened without revived leaders. A personal breakthrough is the first step to a larger breakthrough.

  • Tuesday morning all-conference seminar – “The Spirituality of Generations.” Based on his doctoral research and almost thirty years of experience working with rising generations, this workshop will uncover the spiritual questions that each generation brings to uncover implications for our ministries.

  • Tuesday evening plenary session – “The dynamics of breakthrough” based on John 21. Using the Breakthrough Curve, letting go is often the necessary step before true breakthrough. Peter’s story will be used to illustrate the Breakthrough Curve.

  • Wednesday afternoon plenary session – “The balance of breakthrough” based on Acts 10-15 There is both mystery and strategy when it comes to breakthrough, and both letting the Spirit lead while creating structures will be necessary for the continued breakthrough.

 Biblical, Historic, Family Focused

A Little About Our Church

For over 275 years, worship at Christ Reformed Church has been a time for giving the glory due our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  • Sunday School and Junior Church offer bible study and activities for all ages

  • Sunday Worship includes a call to worship, traditional hymns, confession of sin with assurance of pardon, pastoral prayer and strong Biblical preaching

  • For your convenience, our sanctuary is easily accessible and our Nursery provides supervised child care for infants and toddlers

  • If you can’t attend the worship service in person, we offer live broadcasts on our YouTube channel

As a member of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference we are proud of our Reformed heritage and Biblical foundation.  Our belief that the Bible is the inspired Word of God is evident in our preaching, teaching and family-centered ministries through which we present the love of Jesus Christ and the joy of His salvation to the Indian Valley.

Christ Reformed Church welcomes all to worship with us and we hope to see you soon!

Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
— Psalm 29:2 (NIV)
